asalamu alaikum,

hi guys... been a bit...

anyways, I am so dumb

lol

This person sends me an email asking for advice, and I accidently delete the email... no this muslim is out of contact probably gonna think I'm a loser for not replying...

How the heck can I get it back? Is there any cool hacker way of viewing it?  I hate being so untechnical in such a technological world.

btw if the person who sent it reads this, obviously just send it again

:)

Is it just me or is anyone else really clumsy at times? asalmu alaikum. abdullah,.

Aslaamu Alaikum ;-)

Br Abdullah I think we all have our moments!!

Anyways I'm not the greatest on these sort of things but I would have thought if you were using a web based e mail like yahoo or hotmail, then the e mail should be saved on your cache files.

Can the smart people confirm this?

The most embarassing thing you can do with emails is to reply all when you really wanted to reply to only one person!

Happened to me twice :(

Alhamdulillah both times it wasn't something *too* personal.  :)

asalamu alaikum,

No, the ABSOLUTE worst for me was when my father-in-law sent me an email and I was sort of upset at someof the stuff written, so I wrote my comments INSIDE the email real blunt and sarcastic and just made an outline ot save and respond to later.  Instead of pressing save draft, I sent send  !!!! lol

I almost peeed my pants so I quickly called and told them to ignore the last one lol... never SEND OR SPEAK right away.. always think first!!! But its all good since we have a good relationship, Masha'Allah. asalamu alaikum. abdullah,.

as salaamu alaykum,

duuuude.. I've done it *all*.. hehe :)

one really stupid thing I've done more than once is type up a *long* response to a thread.. edit it until it's just the way I want.. and then hit reset instead of post! d'ohhhhhhh

And just to make you feel better, I'll tell you something really embarassing thing that happened to me recently on instant messenger.  I was having like six conversations at once, all these windows open y'know, and then my bro came and wanted to kick me off the computer..

So quickly, in each window I typed:

I gotta go
I'll talk to you later inshaAllah :)
love ya
wasalaamu alaykum

Only afterwards I remember.. in one of the windows I was chatting with *a bro* :o :o :o

I can't imagine what he was thinking..

hey Brkhalid ur smart! ;)

if you're using yahoo when you delete emails they go in a trash folder  so if you click on folders and click on trash you can find the email in there.  i love that feature i've deleted soooooooo much stuff and then needed it after... and why is it you can keep stuff for months and then when you clean it out you need it!!! ack!!!!

if you haven't emptied your trash since you deleted it, it's probably
just sitting in there, and you should be able to transfer it back
to your inbox.  (much experience with the feline habit of traipsing
across the delete key..)

[slm],

Theres also another way to save your messages, you can tell the server to keep your messages on the server and not remove them, that way you can keep all your messages.  This feature exits in the Microsoft Outlook Suite.

If you do delete your message then there is a way to read the message but its more hassle than its worth and having a home based account might not be worthwhile.

Salaams
