[slm] Well I didnt mean the moral issue involved. Rather, i like to know how the ;-) and :-) read Holy Quran- - daily or weekly or rather when one feels like? - with the transaltion or simply para by para or sura by sura - at home or office? or in library ??? - In the post-fajr or post-maghrib hours? - tries to ponder over the meaning of verses or simply accept what the translator or commentator puts? Assalamu Alaikum, It seems surprising that no one has posted to this considering the importance of the topic. I once read in a Bro. Khurram Murad's book "Way To The Qur'an" that you should read something from the Qur'an everyday at least a page. So, Al-Hamdulillah I try my best to keep up with this standard. I recite for the sake of Ajar everyday as much as I can (ie without translation). But when I have the time or when I'm not memorizing I read the translation as well. I have Tafseer Ibn Kathir for Juz 30 so I read and revise that sometimes as well. I hope this help... but just remmebr that the more you read the more easily it becomes a habit and the more ajar you get Don't forget that the Qur'an will be a witness for you on the day of Judgement. Wassalamu Alaikum, Uzer |
