| this i gotta tell a british and an amrikan from my company were just talkin out in the balcony and the american chap was leaning on the railing. theyre both smokers and the british chap said to the american, "i need a fag." i was told you shudve seen the look on the face of the american and he almost fell over the balcony :-/ |

| salams, i jus had to say, i gotta get arguments against gayism, as its apart of my course! the whole class hav got there set arguements, n i refuse to rite gayisms ok! ya its true though, most ppl in this class REALLY need to go get a life! they jus dont c the dangers of gays, but theyre fooliosh! im still gunna refuse to rite gays r ok!, the teacher tryed to pursuade me to agreee wid da class n herself, n then the inspection offficer walked in2 the class :-/ it was soooooo worth lookin at the look on her face, coz shez not supposed to force u! :-/ |

| [slm] I think we all have weeknesses and tests in life that we must struggle with and overcome for the sake of Allah and to save ourselves from the hell fire. There are all kinds of deviant sexual behavior that are forbidden in Islam. For some people its temptation to commit adultery or zinna and for others, homosexuality. Its just a test of faith and obedience to Allah. It may be possible for someone to be attracted to the same sex but obedience and fear of Allah comes first. Its just like someone who struggles with their vanity or their love of sleep or any other weakness. Alot of non-muslims don't see anything wrong with showing off your body or sleeping as much as you want. Its very difficult for some non-muslims to understand this type of logic because all they understand is giving into their base desires. |

| [slm] In the Qur'an, Surat Al-A3raf, ayah 80: "And (remember) Lout (Lot), when he said to his people: "Do you commit the worst sin such as none preceding you has committed in the 'Alamīn (mankind and jinns)?" The sin that Lout is referring to is homosexuality, excuse me for my openness. The Tribe of Lout was a tribe full of gayness, and it is a big sin, that is haram and disliked by Allahu SubhanaHu Wata'ala. And the proof is in the Qur'an. The punishment for homosexuality, again in the Qur'an: Surat Al-Qamar, ayah 34: "Verily, We sent against them a violent storm of stones (which destroyed them all), except the family of Lout (Lot), whom We saved in last hour of the night" It is clearly indicated that homosexuality is a big sin in the eyes of Allahu SubhanaHu Wata'ala. | i really didn't want to get involved in this discussion, but i know that it would be wrong if i didn't. since i made the decision to join this board i guess it's now my obligation to speak up here as i would any other place in the world. some of the attitudes expressed here - not the values, but the attitudes - have made me extremely uncomfortable. what i read here sounds not like just saying what you believe is right or wrong, but that it's ok to refer to other people in biased ways. i think that if you choose to say something about someone whose habits, lifestyle, core values, whatever you think are wrong, you need to be sure that you're not saying it in a way that if the tables were turned you yourself would find foul. if you substitute some other slang term that any of you might hear applied to yourself, with the same attitude and in the same way the term fag has been used here, and it would make you feel anything other than that someone was saying "what you do is wrong, it would be wrong for me, and i hope you find a way out of there", then i think you're expressing bigotry. |
