>:(If you saw the show today- are the statistics true? 75% of kids 14 and older have done this? Has the world changed this much since I was a teen?

Although I didn't see the show, I did see the advertisement for it. To be honest I'm not surprised at all. I like to think of morals, religion and law as things which keep us in check. Do you think these kids respect any of these things? Nope. It's all about freedom.

I didn't watch the show but I think I know what you're talking about!

There was an article in USA Today about this about a month ago, and it cited a pretty similar stat.  I was pretty shocked when I read it.  Pretty messed up world we're living in!  :(

May Allah protect us from falling into those kinds of traps, Ameen.
To answer your question, sis Kathy, I don't know, someone who's older can comment on that inshaAllah (no offense to anyone :)), wAllahu A3lam.

Alot of you are teens- or freshly evolved from teenage status. I was wondering if this really is prevelent  in your cities?

Do I really have to start talking to Ali about this in just two years- which will be around fourth or fith grade? He will hear the words and will want to know.

The sad part was that they did not even see anything wrong with it- even kissing was a bigger deal. Talk about desensitivation.

A couple of months ago this happened on a school bus in my little city. i thought it was a bizarre, once in a lifetime thing-  apparently not?

OK, are we sure the 75% figure is correct, or could the stats have been blown to make the sure more dramatic ?

D'ya think I should bring up the topic in Sunday school (12 - 15 year olds)? I was talking about hiya last week.  Maybe talk about it indirectly, by saying someting like boys and girls are not supposed to touch each other at all in Islam ? Or do ya think that if this really is a phonemnona in high school, I need to be more direct (at least with the boys) ?
