| salam, As the Madina grows, sometimes it's hard to keep track of what threads you were previously discussing and wanted to write back to. Hence the Notify feature. While replying to a thread you may wish to know if someone else replies back, so you can check the "Check this if you wish to be notified of replies to this topic" if you are replying to a thread or the "Notify of Replies" at the bottom of a thread. If someone posts to the thread, an email is sent to you notifying you. Also, If you look at the top menu there is a "Notification" option, click on this and it will let you know which threads you have no Notify or if you'd like to take them off now. Let me know how this feature works out!!! Also Some people have emailed me saying that they are being sent missionary type harrasing emails. Please let me know if you have received this and who/where it is from. This brings up the question of keeping emails public. What we could do is make the profiles available only for members, and the emails could remain hidden. If anyone wanted to contact you they could Madina message. Any input on this to the moderators and admin would be appreciated. |

If you need a memebers email address, IM them and ask :-) In that way, a member has a choice as to whether they would want to release that bit of info at all. :-X [/font][/color] |
