| as salaamu alaykum, For those of you who don't watch movies, stop here! I don't want to be responsible for corrupting anyone :P For the rest of y'all.. next time you're going to rent a movie, I suggest Monsters, Inc. I know, I know, it's a kids flick, but I found the story line pretty engaging and very, very, VERY funny. Though I hesitate to promote *anything* distributed by Disney, what's cool about this movie is that it contains *no* sexual innuendo whatsoever, nor any inappropriate humor/comments, and that's something that's very rare to find these days, even in children's films. There's really nothing that I can think of in the actual content of the film that would be found objectionable. I have sort of a weird sense of humor (I didn't laugh once during Meet the Parents) but I found this movie *sooo* funny, and the story very clever and creative. It's a cool flick and I give it [] [] [] [] [] wasalaam :-) |

as salaamu alaykum, I was kind of hesitant to post this movie review because I don't want to *encourage* people to watch movies if they're doing more beneficial and worthwhile things with their time. If you do watch movies though, I think it's better to watch ones that are clean as opposed to those that have wack stuff in them.. on that note: *don't* see Meet the Parents. :P wasalaam :-) |

| [slm] Yups..Monsters Inc. was reallly really good! Nice movie to watch if you want to chill out..very enjoyable. Boo is really gorgeous!!!!!!! :-* The way she keeps calling Sully "Kitty" is sooo cute! Definately a movie to take kids to! [wlm] :-) |

| Asalaamu alaikum, another great movie, older but good is A Bug's Life. Just curious if anyone had the same observation about the movie as i did (after seeing it about 10 times). The ants represent muslims around the world, and the grasshoppers represent a western or dajjalic society (leader grasshopper has one eye). Once the ants realize that if they come together and join forces, they can defeat the ones who oppress them. Something the muslims have yet to do :( ok so maybe its just me cause i've seen it too many times, but maybe not. anyone else see it? what do you think? |

| [slm] I saw my first kid movie in 5 years. (Ali's school had a dance- and i think he was bummed out that he was the "only" one not to go.- So His Dad and I decided to give him an alternative night of fun and all go to the movies.) Ice Age...It was hilarious! |

| Shaz, meet the parents is actually funnier talking about, than watching it. I hardly laugh the first time too, the second or third time I saw it was a lil better. Hey if you want islamic animation check out the Boy and the King it was cool. |
