| [slm] Justa question tho the bros/sis, would anyone of you be interested in going to Al-Quds seeing Masjid-Al-Aqsa, and assisting perhaps some of our Palestininan brothers and sisters ???. I'm thinking of starting a project where bros get to go every month to the holy land. It could be either 10 bros or 100 going every month but the goal is consistency and getting involved in the aid over there, for example,helping with structural work to Masjid-Al-Aqsa or helping the people with whatever they need for example exp in IT or Electrical Engineering, Land work etc etc. What do others think do you think its feasible in todays present conditions or what ...??? salaams Hanif |

| bro hanif, this is a wonderful idea. as for determining the feasibility under present conditions, perhaps you could get some perspective on that by getting in touch with khalid turaani at american muslims for jerusalem (in DC). his organization put together the group i'm going with in june. our trip is to gather stories but also to replant orchards and repair homes. if you'd like, i can send you his phone numbers. just let me know, my e-mail address is shown. i hope you get something like this together. as you said, the need for consistency is great - one time efforts help, but won't turn things around over the long haul. you didn't mean ONLY for brothers, did you?? if this comes together, maybe by the time i finish my degree - or sooner, since that will be 1 1/2 years - i could go there again. wow, what a chance for people here to meet each other, in such a place! mwishka |
