as salaamu alaykum, In Sahih al-Bukhari I read this hadeeth: Narrated Umm Salamah, Ummul Mu'minin: Rasulullah [saw] never went out of my house without raising his eyes to the sky and saying: "O Allah! I seek refuge in Thee lest I stray or be led astray, or slip or be made to slip, or cause injustice or suffer injustice, or do wrong or have wrong done to me." Does anyone have the Arabic for this duaa? Jazak Allahu khayran :) wasalaamu alaykum |

"Allahumma innee a'udhu bika min an adilla aw udall (lead astray), (aw azilla aw uzall (slip up), aw adhlima aw udhlam, aw ajhala aw yujhala 'alayya " There's another narration that adds: aw azhilla aw uzhall (with a zh like zhalika or allazheena) azhalla means to belittle or humiliate someone)) and at the end: (aw aqula ma laysa bihi 'ilm) This is the one I memorized. Actually I wouldn't have memorized them if my husband's little neices didn't say it with their mom every time they went out almost from the time they could talk! |
