Can you pray before it is time?

Assalam-Alaikum,

I would like to know if it is permissible to pray before it is time. I go to university
and I have classes from 6-9p.m Here in Toronto, Asr prayer is at 6:30 p.m and Maghrib at
8:45 p.m and Isha at 10:30 p.m. At 9p.m after my class is done, I have to leave right
away to catch the bus and by the time I come home it's around 10:30 and I am just to tired
to pray. So, I wanted to know if I could at least pray Asr at around 5:45 p.m so that I
don't feel like I have to pray 3 prayers.

Thank you.

There are some schools of thought that Asr is calculated differently and is one hour earlier.
