footie for kids

assalaamu alaikum

For a couple of weeks me and my friends switched football to Saturday mornings and one of the really nice things i saw was that a few guys would organise football matches for their kids and their friends for an hour or so. And it was nice to see so many parents standing alongside the pitch cheering their kids. Mind you, this kind of stuff happens nearly every Sunday morning in the parks, but i wonder if there is something similar organised by Muslim parents?

at the moment cricket is head to head with football in terms of popularity....there are no specific events organised by parents but there are football/ cricket clubs which some parents take their children too on sundays.

br. kashif do you play league footy or just a leisurely match with friends?
any connections to absa football team (i don't know about the spelling of the team name)

so which sport is better for keeping fit ?

cricket or football ???

Praise be to Allah, we are oprganising a footy event for kids this year.
Me and my friend are inviting up to 360 kids in the tournament that 12 teams, 3 age groups and the winners get prizes as well.
Cheack the humble site out www.ansaar.co.uk
I know its a bit sad but we ain't got much budget and we'd rather spend money elsewhere.
Above all please make dua that this event goes a success.Ameen.
