| Assalamu Alaiykum, I would someone to explain why isn't jesus christ considered the son of god in islam. And can point out surahs in the holy quran where I can read hopefully with understanding. Please help ??? |

| [slm] Cheryl, you want proof why Jesus isn't the son of God from the Bible or from the Quran? If you want proof from the Bible I'll provide that as well, insha'Allah. But from the Quran: Quran 9:30-31 30 The Jews call Uzair a son of Allah and the Christians call Christ the son of Allah. That is a saying from their mouths; (in this) they but imitate what the unbelievers of old used to say. Allah's curse be on them: how they are deluded away from the truth! 31 They take their priests and their anchorites to be their lords in derogation of Allah and (they take as their Lord) Christ the son of Mary; Yet they were commanded to worship but one Allah: there is no god but He.
