I read in the madina archives about soulmates hereexplained by Sr Barr. Basically, it tells that when a person is married, and when they have intimate relations together, they not only form a physical bond, but something which is deeper - that is - the spiritual bond. However, the tafsir of the ayah referred to when a man and a woman is married. A few weeks ago, I watched a video clip on "No Apologies", an abstainment from sex till marriage movement pioneered by "Focus on the Family" an org. based in the US. In the video clip, one of the teenagers said that whether one has a religion or not, or shares a religion, one would always have a spiritual bond to the person whom he/she has done sex with. My question is... is that true? If that is true, then, can such bonds can be broken? Should I be worried if I am to marry a divorcee/ widower or someone who is not a virgin? That they still have this spiritual bond with their past? Thank you. |
