I am new to the site and wanted to say hi..
In fact I heard about this site from a member of a forum which I am participating, from  jannah.com . I am highly affected by your home page, with the scene of the jannah, rivers , butterflies...But I got  lost in this city, I could not decide where to post, and I could not relate the names of the corners with the contents, for me akwat means nothing, maybe it has a meaning related with sisters, or bebzi.....Anyway, I admit , that is all interesting
And I found the forum so much colorful, in jannah com, we don't have that much  icons, honestly, I am happy with that, maybe for the sake of concentration to the topic, but, I am amazed with all those with motion..
I met with wonderful ppl there, I am sure all of you are wonderful too

Assalamu alaikum,

sumeyye, you're turkish?? That's great Alhamdulillah, don't have many Turkish bro's/sis' on the board, it's nice to meet you.

My name is Betul and I'm from Albany, NY.  If you want, you can email me and talk some more inshaAllah.

Wassalamu Alaikum,

Sis Betul, I think she said she doesn't like turkey? hehe, not that she's from Turkey!  ;D

Welcome to the board sister, congrats on your upcoming graduation! I know you'll enjoy it here  :-*

p.s. akhwat means sister and ikhwan means brother...i think there's a link, if you click on "help" maybe that gives you a list of common arabic phrases :)  and here is a really good site to learn arabic.

Salaam,

Furkan, so you finally took my advice and came over, huh? Anyway I'm sure you'll like it here.
oh.. and I know how you feel about the board being to complicated and all. It took me some time to get use to it and I'm sure you will too.

Since you're new to the board I would like welcome you by offering you some bebzi(Pepsi)   []   :D  :-/

Yes RISKY, it is you, who brought me overhere   :)

I was trying to unsderstand what Bebzi meant, ŭthanks for the paranthesis :) I think I take things seriously , and that is why I can fail to get sometimes.....HERE,I am surrounded with  cheerful ppl I see, I wish this will help me ..
So, is this site has never have times when the "tension" goes high, as we  sometimes have in jannah.com.....cool all the time    8)

welcome furkan!

so, risky peaceseeker, you're trying to get the jannah.com people to come to jannah.org, and the jannah.org people to go to jannah.com, eh?  furkan, i made one visit to your board when ours was conked out and um R.P. tried to talk me into going back over there.... :D

hmmm.....trying to agitate jannah.org, or mellow out jannah.com??

furkan, we do have some tempers flare here, and a few fires burn for periods of time, but everyone here tries to be as reasonable, courteous, and kind as possible.  i'd say there's a lot more fun (and even silliness  ::) ) than tension or strife here.  and lots to learn, all the time!

LOL mwishka,  :D  It seems you've caught me.
The thing is their both great. They both have different yet interesting discussions.
Oh and above all, the admin at J.com is way too easy going. Other than profanity, you can say anything you want any way you like it. Sure, sometimes discussions flare up and get of control but hey you lose something to gain something; don't ya think? All in all, I like them both.

And furkan, as mwhishka said people here are too polite and courteous and things never get out of hand, which probably is the best thing about it.
The admins here are very strict with the board policies. You won't find any Ruby Beyonds around here. I'm sure you love the place.

To lose sth, in order to gain.....
That is exactly what I  have had to experience  for a long time, and the result is , to feel guilty all the time. That is one of the highest paid bills in my life...
It makes me feel good , to know ,madina citizens don't like attacking each other.
And.....I have a suggestion, it would be great to have other options instead of bebzi :-X, bec I never drink it, put a tooth in a glass of pepsi, and come over after a week, it won't be there,  ;), no need to to say it's impacts on the other organs and tissues ( your poor stomach..).Why don't we have a glass of fresh orange juice, that is what I would like to offer my guests   :-*

[slm] and welcome to the board. i am a newbie myself. i know what you mean about not understanding some of the arabic terms. ??? this is my 3rd year in islam. it takes time. I have 2 friends from turkey. I'm an american convert to islam so my experience might be of interest to you. It's tough but worth it. You're gonna be a dentist inshallah that's great. May Allah bless you (Barak Allah feek) and make life easy for you. See ya around.
