As salamu alaykum everyone.

This is from Muhammad Alshareef. I had this email with me and I wanted to share it. It is from a young sister, a student from Al-Huda school, who was looking forward to attending the AlMaghrib seminar in College Park.

We tried making a scholarship program for the younger girls at Al-Huda. If they would write an essay about the importance of Tafseer, the school would pay for half their tuition.  This sister, Muslimah was her name, wrote this to one of the sisters helping us at AlMaghrib.

Salamu Alaikum,
Wow, ur email was a surprise.  MashaAllah, that is so cool about the almaghrib workshop.  But first, i wanted to ask u how many 8th graders are there? I wanted to get them all cards, so I was wonderin if there were any new girls I dont know.

About the workshop, im interested. I checked out the website (www.alMaghrib.org) and Id like to know more, but like you said, its intense, right? I dont even know if I cud write a 2 page good essay thats good enough. But, when I first read about it, I was really interested it seems very beneficial (cudnt think of a better souding, less lame word, lol.) I think its too good of an offer to pass up, so if u cud send the khutbah, and I'll think about it more inshaAllah.

She's 14 years old.

On Saturday, her mother told us that Muslimah had saved enough money to attend, my wife spoke to her that day. Saturday night, Muslimah, her mother and her sister were all killed in a horrific traffic accident.  Only their father survived the accident. As I write this, the Janaazah is in an hour.

Please pray for Muslimah, her mother and her sister.

- Muhammad Alshareef

PS Al-Huda school, the school both Muslimah and her sister went to, is in need of financial help. Please visit www.alhuda.org to find out how you can donate.

SubhanAllah.....may Allahu SubhanaHu Wata'ala have Mercy on them and grant them Jannah. May He, SubhanaHu Wata'ala grant patience and more tawakkul to the father, and help the father get through these difficult times...Ameen...

Reminds me of my death, how it can come at a time when I least expect it.  When that time comes, will I be ready, only Allahu SubhanaHu Wata'ala knows...I need to better myself InshaAllah and become a pleasing 'abd of Allahu SubhanaHu Wata'ala, InshaAllah.....
