A note about postings in the UCC

assalaamu alaikum

With government agencies tapping Muslims and carrying out un-sanctioned surveillance on our communities like no time ever before, it requires us to take extra precautions.

The fact that we have spies witihin our communities is something we can no longer ignore. These people are the worst among us and have traded their Hereafters for the fleeting comforts of this world.

Consequently, you are advised to be wary of postings on this board and others on the internet - and even people in your masajid - who suddenly start asking questions of the nature of what would you like to do to the US/UK/any-other government? Don't you think this is a time for jihad? What preparations have you made for jihad in the future?

They are people who are fishing in your communities who want to attract the unjust attention of govt. agencies to brothers and sisters.

Below are some comments from a brother in response to an article talking about a group of youth termed "Internet jihadees." Before i go on, i don't intend that Muslims here start a form of self-censorship and become too afraid to speak their mind when it comes to the affairs of our brothers and sisters. Just use hikmah in what you say.

----------------

Add to all that you have said that a large portion of these people you
mention are without doubt (or soon will be) government agents.  Their job is
to put stuff out there and see who reacts and how they react.  Recruiting
among Muslims is becoming very heavy.  They are looking for Arabic, Islam
and anyone who can get "inside" where Muslims are.  They know our weaknesses
and have a very low opinion of our "integrity".

[snip - the part about the brother being offered to work as a spy]

We have been very open and trusting of so many people with open and blatant
weakness in their Islam.  This cannot continue.  Look for the "fajr crowd"
and those who take their deen seriously.  I'm not saying there won't be
agents among them also - there will be - but it is much harder to find those
kind of agents: those who can sell their soul and still faithfully be up at
4:30 am and in the masjid several times a day just for that paycheck.

Also, once we stick to our deen and follow the advice below, the presence of
these phonies will do us no harm.  Insha Allah, truth overcomes falsehood.
Many who intended harm to Islam and Muslims ended up Muslim themselves.

An interesting analysis Bro. However, dosen't it make you thnk that even at time of the prophet  [saw] the hypocrites used to get up for Fazr and Isha ??? And nowwdays the muslims even find Jummah praying hard!.

I agree with the term that if we are on deen then that is the only way that these people will realise that we mean them or anyone else no harm. However, once we lose the deen then we will sadly have to pay for the consequences.

I mean if we all looked within ourselves I'm sure we would find many things that we need to address or really think about.  Usually you hear a lot of grabge on the mosque corners that we should do this and do that but ask the very same people about getting up for tahajud and serving the parents well thats where you hear the ball hitting the wickets!

May Allah make us serve the deen properly and may we become  pro active rather than reactive.

Salaams

I think it is time for us to follow the teaching of the messenger of God peace be upon him when he said that the greates Jihad (struggle) is to speak a true work in the presence of an unjust ruler and we have an obligation to God to do this. You must speak out against the actions of our Government.
