AMJ turned away...

''American Muslims for Jerusalem'' recently set out on a ten day educational/peace trip to Filisteen with 17 Americans of diverse ethnic backgrounds. However, they all had the same goal: to see what was going in Filisteen and raise awareness, also to help out in some way. These brave people set out Saturday June 15th and upon reaching the airport in Israel were told to go back...my friend was one of these brave people. To read the full story go to:

also a member of our Madina Community was also on this trip, sister mwiskha...more updates soon Insha'allah...

Assalaamu alaikum,

SubhanAllah, that is bad news. I can't imagine the sadness of those who went after all the emotional and physical time they put into this effort. I wonder if they had tried going through immigration as individuals rather than as a group of AMJ they would made it?

Wasalaam.

I was shocked to read this!  :'( I cannot *believe* it, although I have come to expect the worst from those "people" anyway...

Don't have much time, my patients are waiting for their daily morning *prod* and questions (lol), but I wanted to answer Bro Asim's question:

Firstly, the Israeli "immigration" KNOWS who is there in a group and who is not.  They ALWAYS know, believe me.  I have however always founf it "safer" to say that you are a tourist group rather than an individual, cuz that raises a whole lot more questions than you need...then again, if someone in your group is a bit *dodgy*, maybe you'd have an easier time trying to get in alone.  But like I said, they always know whose in the group, so lying won't get you anywhere...

Manage to confuse you all???

Salamat

[slm],
I'm really saddedned to hear this. The same happened to a group of people going from here from the Lancahire region. They were told the same, get on the plane back home.

However, there is good in everything that Allah does and only Allah knows what the zionist are going to do after the bombing that killed 16 people.

Maybe it was best to leave and come back another day.

They can stop us coming today and tomorrow but one day we will liberate Al-Quds with the recitation of Takbeer. Insha-allah.

Liberating Al-Quds is not a day or year project its a long term one just like the way Salahudin planned it, it'll take time but we will get there.

salaams

[slm] bro hanif,

Wallahi ur words reminding us bout insha'allah liberating Al-Quds has provided some sort of comfort.

i hear that ISM (international solidarity mov't) is planning a 54 day trip titled "freedom summer"..it's the same mov't the Nauman Zaidi..the paki peace activist from Cali, was a part of.

israel can hide it's atrocities..justify it's actions..continue to occupy..but what will the end result be..freedom, return and the flying of the fili flag insha'allah  :)
