| [slm] ;-) i just moved to the albany area. i am recent revert to islam. can anyone help me out and give me info on jummah in troy. also classes to learn more about islam. thank you........... [wlm] |

| salaam Jummah in Troy is held at the Rensellear Polytechnic Institute on 15 th st in Troy (off of hoosick the main road that heads to Vermont) . Jummah beins at roughly 1:15. Jummah is being held right now upstairs in the Armory (we just moved locations because of construction). There are classes everyweek one on friday at 6 pm at the Masjid on 15th st i forget get the address but you can find it on the website here. The Masjid is a white house next door to a dentists office and is near the corner of hoosick st. There are also classes on sunday i believe from 11:00 am to 2. Also starting in the fall there will be another class on a weeknight. Prayers in the masjid are 4:30, 1, 5 , sunset (8:37), and 10 :30. Also there is going to be a picnic for the community this weekend and next in the state park east of troy roughly 20 minutes, which would be a good oppurtunity to get to know people. The # for the masjid is 274 0137 you can ask for Djafer.
