| [slm] Alhamdullilah I began to wear hijab since a couple of days ago...Masya Allah I feel so excited today when a sister I don't know said salam to me! I said salam back and smiled all the way back hehehe... Now people can identify me as a muslim! I feel so proud for being a muslim! I have this inner struggle for a few of months when I wanted to wear hijab... partly due to my parents and also my own fear... but then I ask who am I suppose to fear first? Allah or other ppl? Another thing is I started to realise that my real identity is a muslim and that we as muslims already hold the secret key to life.... which is Islai! Masya Allah... I just feel so happy... Allah has really bestowed upon us his blessings..... I wasn't used to the stares in the beginning but now getting accustomed... Insya Allah after a while it'll be ok.. salam from ur 'new hijabi' sister! :) :) :) :) :-) |

| [slm] Mashallah!!! I'm so excited for you! It truly is refreshing to hear a sister's story of when she starts wearing hijab and you can just hear the excitement in her voice, and the noor just emanates from her face :-* It makes me think about when i first started 2 years ago this month actually. I remember how wonderful that summer was, it felt like i was doing something right for once....although i feel like that initial "excitement" has fizzled out a little....has anyone else experienced that? like i listen to sister an's story, and i think, wow, i wish i could feel like that again. ::) [wlm] Ruqayyah |

| [slm] :) I just realised that there's another sister with the nick 'ann' who I think will Insya Allah revert to Islam soon. Actually, we're two different people with similar login name ;) Thank you so much for your support & encouragement everyone ! I was born as a Muslim but I think this year is a fresh new year for me because I'm relearning my deen again and for the first time in my life .. I see so much beauty in it... how perfect Islam is. Sure I had questions and doubts at the start like why is my religion is Islam, is Qur'an and Islam really the truth? I searched and read ... I was seeking for the truth and alhamdullilah with Allah's guidance .. all those doubts were dispelled. Now I think I have better appreciation of my deen. Alhamdullilah. [wlm] :-) :) :) |

| AA to all my Hijab wearing sisters I leap for joy It is always awesome news when a sister starts wearing her Hijab. Many young children are asking questions about my Hijab. I ask their parents if I can explain it to them and to my surprise the parents says yes. This way the parents while listenting to me explain to the children will learn also. OUT OF THE MOUTH OF BABES. I explian to the children that Hijab to me a veil over my heart for the love of ALLAH (GoD). This is one way I show ALLAH how much I turly love Him. One of the brothers told me that it takes a genuine heart to wear Hijab. What a compliment coming from a sincere brother. Congradulations sisters for taking the step to wear Hijab. I feel so much repected and get respected from others. I feel as though I wear a crown fit for a Queen when I wear Hijab. Another Hijab wearing sister Have another HIJAB Day! For we are truly blessed to be chosen by ALLAH to wear it. AA Haadiya |
