| Walaikum salam wa rahmatallahi wa barakatu, Sister Hania, you still remember my reminiscing about Spain, ya Allah some of the things I said could get me in a lot of trouble!!! :) hmmm, I've got to remember who the dangerous one's are that know too much... :) Alhamdulillah, praises be to Allah, I cannot explain how or why, I can only say that Allah blessed me....can I explain how it feels to stand before the Kaaba for the first time, and raise my hands to Allah, and ask Him for something, and then see it happen...Wallahi don't lose hope in Allah, He has Wisdom in all that He does...Trust in Allah, and you will be successful. The sister...hmm, she is almost as nice as you sister Hania :) j/k, no we didn't meet in andalucia, but let me set a couple things straight...yes, she is Muslim, and yes, my parents DO know :) <---------I had to say that before my dear akh Bhaloo starts asking :) Bro Haniff, ya sidi, jazakallahu khairan for your kindness and good wishes, may Allah honor you. I pray that Allah grant me humility and thankfulness, ya rabb, and Guidance and Success in marriage, and in the Next Life. Ok, anyone else just get married!?!?!?! :) How is it, how was the experience....:) btw, remember that question about what to wear to meet the parents, anonymous right? That was me!!! :) wassalam |

| [slm] :-) I just wanted to respond to your question: "Ok, anyone else just get married!!?! How is it, how was the experience...." YES! I got married 15 days ago! Alhamdulillah, I am so happy. It was one of the greatest days of my life. I converted to Islam almost 4 years ago, and I moved out here to Sacramento this past August. Since moving here, I met this wonderful family-the mom is American, the dad Palestinian-who I am so close to that I call them Mama and Baba, and their kids are my brother and sisters. We had our wedding in their house. It was small, that's how we wanted it-I think 30 people were there. It was so wonderful....I better shut up now, you guys are going to get sick :P I'm just really happy, I can't help it ;D ;). Salaams Tara :-) |

Weddings are always like that, hectic, so it is good it has been cramped into a small time frame :) My sister got married in 9 days flat! from the day of introduction to the nikah ceremony. Actually, we only had about 6 days for the ceremony after a final decision was made. But alhamdulillah it all turned out fine. Wasalaam. |

as salaamu alaykum, hmm just to answer on my bro's behalf.. lightning moved about two hours downstate for work.. and that's where they met :) they work in different departments, but got to know each other through organizing Islamic stuff at work and in the local community. MashaAllah, it's kind of amazing that after all his travels, he found someone right for him only two hours from home :) Just to tell you a bit about her.. she loves spirituality, sh. hamza, nature, and has a very gentle disposition mashaAllah. They're good for each other :) please make duaa for them, and for us :) Jazakam Allahu khayran. take care all ;D wasalaamu alaykum :-) ps - thanks for the advice asim :) |
