| does the troy masjid have a lending library? ok, i think the retreat is over, and i could go ask mokhtar, but.....well, figured i'd ask here first... if it doesn't, do any other ones around here? schenectady (capital district)? actually those are the only two i know of..... mwishka |

| they have library i have taken videos out from there before. I am sure that they would let you borrow books if you asked nicely |

| hi sis marcie! i missed this - just now saw it... um yep, i use it a lot, the problem is i have NO IDEA what i need or want to read. that's what libraries - unlike the internet - are good for: you can go into a room and read everything you can find until you either find what you're looking for, find out where to find what you're looking for, or, in my case, since i don't know what i'm looking for necessarily, are just satiated for the time being. and you can do it much faster than a computer can sort and filter information for you, because you know how to read and interpret, unlike the silly computer... (not to say i always want to use the library over the internet, but, for me, i'm more likely to find what i need that is not what i was looking for at a library rather than on-line.) but thanks for the suggestion... mwishka |
