[slm] What is the correct way to retaliate against a terrorist state backed by a superpower? - Destroy anything and everything?. Since the enemy doesn't follow the rules of engagement, why should we?. Eye for an eye?. - Destroy military targets and personnel only?. If, however there are civilian casualties, they're merely collateral damage. - Destroy military targets and personnel only if there is no chance of collateral damage?. |

as salaamu alaykum, They are not our teachers, and we respond in the way that is divinely prescribed for us: O you who believe, stand out firmly for Allah, as witnesses to fair dealing, and let not the hatred of others to you make you swerve to wrong and depart from justice. Be just: that is next to piety: and fear Allah. For Allah is well-acquainted with all that ye do. 5:8 Your question is more complex than it seems.. you are asking what a legitimate target is in a state of war; and on this, particularly in Palestine, scholars differ. |
