Do I have to introduce myself?

*makes a face*

Alright, alright. Well what can I say, I came across this board a little over two years ago and it was love at first sight;) I would come everyday without fail - okay well *almost* everyday, to read the gems of wisdom lovingly scattered everywhere. I even registered a nickname for myself, but when I tried to post I had some problem with the cookies and couldn't be bothered to figure it out especially as I was just starting university in those days. Going to university was like being sucked into a whirlpool, a seemingly neverending swirl of labs, lectures, papers, assignments, exams, and yet at the same time it was like being set down at the top of high hill from where  there was so much to see, i.e. people, experiences, openess as well as uncertainty when you looked up and saw the mountains towering above you realizing there was still so much before you and so much didn't know.  *rueful smile* I have a tendency of going off into long abstract rambles when I start writing.  Anyways in the whirlwind of busyness i'd occasionally give myself a breather and come here for a spell of peace and calm, in other words to surround myself with the words of deen minded people:--) But as time went on, the space between those 'breathers' grew and grew, as I pushed myself harder and harder. After going at it for two years straight, i decided I needed a  break - I was afraid I was going to burn myself out. I felt incredibly guilty at first, about taking spring/summer off. But now that my break's half over, I know I needed it, it seems like so much of what I remember from the last two years revolves around university and not so much the socializing aspect as the studying aspect. I'd put off reply to emails, to letters, thinking i'd reply as soon as i had time to sit down and write a good long reply, meanwhile months would pass, I guess if you have to make time, otherwise it just doesn't come along:--) So i've spent the last two months relaxing, reading, writing, sewing, really just 'catching up with myself'. Alhamdulillah it feels good:)

Alright I guess thats somewhat of an introduction, it'll do for now ;)

And umm if you think some of my expressions are just a lil' familiar - they probably are *ahem* familiar I mean :-*

Walaikum salaam:)

Sabri, drinking bebzi 'n barking our cars ;)

Jannah - it wasn't two years continuously - honest:--) I think I would've been tempted to 'the other side'  long long ago if i hadn't had those problems logging in *rueful smile* but after that it just seemed like there wasn't enough time, and so i'd pop in once in a while. But until this week I'd say i hadn't been here for about a year, and while i sat there reading I decided I had to join:--)

BrKhalid -  thanks for the welcome.

ps. That was lil' kiddy, dragging, shuffling feet, looking down kinda 'do I have toooo?'  ;D
