Every Muslim should know/learn the basic things, and there are many introductory Islamic books.  I think a good reference is this book called Fiqh Made Easy by Dr. Saleh al-Sadlaan.  You can buy it here:

For other issues, you should ask a local scholar in your community, and ask them for the proof.

My syggestion would be to read a introductory book on Islam and Iman development. Another good thing is to talk to experienced people, which already have gone through things u are going through right now.

Not to forget also start reading the Qur'an and talking about it with experienced people. And last but not least pray for further guidance...

U may PM  me if u want other information!

Take Care

With difficulty, LOL!  Basically, anything that hurts anyone else I consider harram.

Remember the line: It is Cruel to be Kind?

I never understood it until the doctor pierced my son's legs with immunization shots!

What about those things that are wrong towards God?? Who would know those things except God?  We can see what happens when people take into their own hands what is right and wrong. We've seen the result of that over the centuries.. do you think all people who commit atrocities, lie, steal, manipulate, oppress think it's wrong? Not all, and most are excellent at justifying their actions. This is why humans need revelation to keep us balanced and objective. Now if you don't believe in revelation... then do what you want...as Muslims we always go back to the Revelation, the Quran the word of God and the Sunnah, the authentic sayings, doings, approvals, of the last messenger of God.
