| I have a daughter who is a Christian Minister (????). She phoned me after 2 years to asked me why I converted to ISLAM. I asked her if that was the reason she called me after so long. Not a Hello how are you? She went into a preaching frenzy about me going to Hell and Islam being a Cult. I was slow to speak, quick to hear, and extremely slow to anger as she spoke. I strongly beleive with ALL my heart that ALLAH chose me, and I allowed my will to be His Will and will tell everyone that. Allah chooses who He pleases for his purpose. It take a person with a geunine heart to wear Hijab (which completes me as a MUSLIM). It is a veil over my heart for the love of ALLAH. Another daughter came by and my grandchild wanted to know about ISLAM as she sat on my lap listenting attentively. This daughter quickly said, she (the child) do not need to know about ISLAm. I tried to tell her yes she does and this is part of HISTORY. The child had already said to me a while back she can not depend on the schools to teach her History and she knows that i will tell her the truth. This daughter refused to allow me to give the avid reader (10) yrs old literature/books on ISLAM. The child asked me why I dressed in Hijab/clothing. Every time I tried to explain and answer the child questions, the mother interrupted with, she (the child) does not need to know. She will teach her herself. I asked how she was going to do that denying the reading material I am willing to provide. Of course there was no response to that. The child, I and the other party in the room felt this was totally wrong to provoke the child from knowing about HISTORY. I was a Christian before converting to ISLAm and knowledgable of what their scriptures says. I quoted one of the scriptures from their Bible to her such as ISIAH 1:18 COME NOW, and let us reason together. She said, how are you going to tell me about Christians when you are a Muslim. As i said I was a Christian before converting. She did not understand when i was a Chrsitian and she do not understand now. My son on the other hand is elated and we shared much about ISLAM, and asked me to supply him with as much literature/books on Islam. He himself is no stranger to ISLAm. I beleive he is ready to convert. one out of two children is not bad. Please pray for my daughters to raise their consience level higher so ALLAH can RULE. AA Haadiya |

| [color=Red][/color]Do not grow in anger at your daughter..she gets mad I believe because she is afraid. Afraid of what? Learning something new? Learning something out of the "norm" she grew up with? That maybe new questions about her beliefs will arise if she studied Islam? I don't know what but if she wasn't afraid she would not threaten you and tell you that you are going to Hell. She should know that if she is a good Christian she cannot be the judge. She is not Allah (God to her). You are just going to have to be patient. I will tell you, though, that people can be so ignorant and so brainwashed about Islam because of what they see in the media that it is the only information they know. |
