Jew only housing districts to be created in Israel

A proposed law that would allow Jews to bar Arabs from buying homes
in their communities could expose Israel to a fresh wave of
condemnation recalling the now-rescinded UN resolution equating
Zionism and racism, critics of the bill said Wednesday.

In a decision that set off a storm of debate, Prime Minister
Ariel Sharon's cabinet Sunday voted to endorse a bill that would
allow areas within Israel which have been designated as state land
to be devoted to residential use by Jews alone. The bill still faces
considerable legislative hurdles before it can be passed into law.

We must act now to end this apartheid system please contact your represenative. To find out who your represenative is aand to find their contact information go to www.house.gov

[slm],

That does not seem to be anything new, they have been doing that forever. I just watched something called "The People and Their Land" on a independent channel, i think called FSTV, that was made in 1996 and they say in any the settlements, Palestinians are not even allowed to walk near by. go figure why they have to make a law, now,  for something they are doing for the past fifty years. We could forever complain and point out UN resolutions but they would probably never doing anything or change their ways.

I agree that Israel has maintened an Apartheid system for many year now. But what I think this legislation in which they are proposing is not to address the Settlements in the West Bank and Gaza but rather Would bar Arab Israeli citizens from living in a certain proximity to groups of jews living on government land in Israel.

Futher I agree that boycotting Israel goods is a good idea. I personally believe that people should try to boycott certain American made goods or goods made by particular American companies in foriegn lands not specifically beacuse of the Palestinian crisis but because of the injustice and the economic slavery that these corporations inflict. Free trade is not free when it uses slave labor. Borthers and sisters shold support local bussiness, enviornmentally ("eco friendly") consciouss companies, companies that support workers rights, and fairly traded goods. Man of the clothes and various other items we buy that are made in Asia/South East Asia and other 3rd world nations are not in my opinion halal because of many the practices of these companies both envionmentally, morally, and due to the fact that they use slavery labor and we as muslims should work to free these "slaves" and not support companies that only let the white foreign elite and puppet governments get rich while impovershing whole nations. Just to site one such company Nike in Indonesia pays its workers literally pennies a day for a product they will in turn sell for hundreds. Workers have no rights the conditons are horrible and if people complain or try to orginize they "disapper"

I think an important step in ending this occupation is orginizing here in america at a grass roots level and lobbying or congress people staging protest holding "teach ins" and various other actions. Until US support for Israel ends I do not see an end to the conflict. Allah knows best though
