| [slm] Our highschool's kids are experiencing it, here in upstate NY! They (school officials) now have a rule that the back packs have to be clear [i]in our case they are looking for guns, ammo and drug stuff[/i].... Do other city schools students have to have clear back backs? |

| Well, at my old school, they took all of the lockers out because students were hiding the contraband in their lockers. So then, students used their backpacks for the aforementioned purpose!And got back strain from all their books >:( You could still hide something in an opaque binder in the backpack. Kathy, minors don't have the same constitutional rights to unreasonable search and seizure, I've heard of teachers at my old school holding everyone back and searching everyone in the class because some of their property was missing! |
