| [slm] Search Myself I search myself in the rubble of dust Something is lost beyond a doubt For every where I see is remains of ashes The darkness spread over the horizon Has weaken the vision of the right path In desperation I seek the Lamp of Mustafa [saw] The Battle of Badr and Uhud rage in my body For Nafs has revolted the Lord again and Intellectual Shayateen has the led the battle today For it is the time to raise Spiritual Zulfiqar for Jihad ---------------- We all know how to fight against Ego (Nafs) equiped with Carnal desires, but how to fight against Nafs which is Intellectually superior. We use words as a weapon to get to the truth. The 'intellectual nafs' uses words as a weapon to lead us astray. We try to aim towards the target; the nafs re-directs our bow to aim at our own feet, or at someone else. Either way it seeks to cripple us on the path of life. Know that the greatest truths are hidden within a SILENT place - the still depths of our hearts. That place can only be reached through contemplation that moves beyond words. A hard thing to do, but when achieved, contemplation liberated from discursive reflection has the simplicity of a child's laugh. Thats my wishy washy answer anyway ;) [wlm] |
