NEW FICTION BOOK ON PALESTINE

There is a new fiction book out titled "The Circle:  Terror and
Triumph in the Holy Land," by H. Edward Schmidt, and published by
Upper Falls Books.  Don't let the title fool you, the hero of the book
is the devout Palestinian, and the villains are the members of the
Circle, an underground Zionist gang that goes around assassinating
Palestinian leaders.

This novel is set in 1918 Palestine, at the end of Ottoman rule,
and the beginning of British colonialism.  Ismael grows up with his
neighbors Sarah and Yitzhak in Jerusalem.  Both boys drift apart as
they are inspired by the political realities of their time.  Ismael
becomes a legend in Palestine, Yitzhak joins the Circle.  How their
paths cross again will leave you stunned.  It is a great read, with
many sub-plots that will keep you glued to the pages.

You can get more information about the book, including reviews,
and information about the author at www.upperfallsbooks.com.

Here are some of the reviews:

"Schmidt carefully weaves you through history with a thrilling plot
that leaves you entertained and informed at the end. Finally, a fresh
insight into the root causes of the Middle East Conflict, from a
perspective that we rarely understand." - Yousef al-Yousef (
Chairman - American Muslims for Global Peace and Justice )

"If you have ever wondered how the Israeli/Palestinian conflict began,
then you will definitely want to read H. Edward Schmidt's 'The
Circle'. He makes you feel you are right there in the Holy Land." -
Middle East Affairs Journal

"In vivid detail, the H. Edward Schmidt takes what is traditionally
told as a political story of colonial deceit by Britain and France and
turns it seamlessly into a poignant personal story. 'The Circle' is a
great read." - Ray Hanania ( publisher - Arab American View
Newspaper )

"Like all good historical fiction, Schmidt's 'The Circle' involves
both historical figures and fictional characters. What readers...will
find most illuminating about Schmidt's historical novel is the focus
on the lives of individuals making history." - Henry Berry (The Small
Press Book Reviews)

You can order the book online at www.upperfallsbooks.com and get
free shipping.

This book makes a great gift for anyone who loves to read.  You
can buy it for a friend to ease them into the myriad of the Middle
East conflict.

It is important that the American Muslim community supports those
who are brave enough to speak out and write about the truth when it
comes to an issue so dear to us as Palestine.
