| UAE national lawyer invents smart cheque Dubai |By A Staff Reporter | 31-07-2002 gulfnews.com A UAE national lawyer, specialised in economic-related crimes and intellectual property rights, invented a revolutionary smart cheque that will radically find a solution to the prevalent bouncing cheques phenomenon across the globe and the UAE. The smart cheque, said Moussa Issa Al Amri, will enable the financial sector to immediately, anytime and anywhere in the world, verify the availability of sufficient funds in designated accounts. Al Amri also invented an international smart cheque that allows the user to travel with total security and have all the flexibility needed when moving around the world. Whichever the country is visited, the smart cheque can be written in local currency and will be, when swiped, converted as a debit in the account's denominated currency, explained Al Amri. The cheque, he added, will regain the local and global market confidence in the use of cheques, which was shaken because of unscrupulous persons and the negligence of some account holders who do not keep track of their account balance. |
