| is it possible (he he tells you how much i DON'T know, to even ask this in this way..... ;)) to have a sister or brother icon appear under one's name when that person has chosen to include their gender in their profile? i think MAYBE amatullah is a brother, and i've called him sis about three times... (my apologies!) and we have recent "bros" aabidah and seven... and i don't know who else... because there is such a diverse array of national origin and native language represented here (which makes me very happy every time i come here! i REALLY enjoy that aspect of this place!), plus the um 'confusing' chosen designations with no obvious link to gender, maybe it could help some of us out.... mwishka |

| [slm] Some people take comfort in mystery? Even though, if you were really curious, you could perhaps do a clicky on the linky that shows you the profile thingamajig? Anyway, the beauty of the Internet lies in anonymity, don't you think so? SF. (mwishka, for you---->) :-) (also, isn't the name "Amatullah" female in gender? I could be horribly wrong, and so I apologize) |

| The name Amatullah is a female name, the female equivalent of Abdulllah, meaning servant of Allah. I am a :-) female. :) |

| yeah sis aabidah - that's what i mean. and i can't reply just to help someone by correcting their gender mistake.... and original sis - this is not a question of mystery. the ones who choose to remain 'ultimately' mysterious don't indicate gender in their profiles. hee heee and you must be one of the lucky ones with a fast connection, but i can barely even get the reply boxes to OPEN (or bebzi, still a nightmare to get open....), much less to try to go out to member profiles, try to get back in to a topic and STILL hope to be able to reply without about four to six "backs and forwards" to trick a stubborn little reply box (or a message box) to open long enough for me to sneak in... and i don't go check people's profiles very often. though i AM a curious one.....;) ok, so i got the gender right on amatullah - then i guess i should have included other "bro" amatullahs in my short list including "sis" mistakes, above. mwishka (who tries very very hard not to use her fast lab connection for playing on the internet.......except evening or weekend.... and so has to make do - and probably shouldn't be complaining about it, either..... :() |

| sis kathy, i just found this.... hee heee YOU met me, don't you know?? :D the best i could possibly do is tell you what age everyone who meets me assigns to me (it's always the same number - so maybe they're absolutely correct, eh?), when i won't tell them either... ;)...so, um don't feel left out... um sis kathy....the little plain smiley icon is ok, but um i don't know how i feel about being a bunch of purple question marks..... :D and um anyway, you met me AS :-) ....... he heee mwishka (oh, what i need is sis fatimah's mwishka icon.....!) |
