| [slm] an email i recieved.... As-salaam-alaikum you guys, Attached is the Intro letter/permission slip for the August 10th focus group. Please read it and pass it along to your Muslim friends. We are trying to gather a group of 15 guys and 15 girls, aged 12-24. We can't have more than that so choose wisely. Who would be good in a discussion group. We want diversity, which means African American, Latino Arab, Asian, Caucasian. I know that the Capital District is only so diverse but do the best you can. Also we are looking for a good group of ages. A couple of 12 year olds a couple of 15 year olds and couple of 18 years olds, a couple of 21 year olds and a few 24 years olds for example. Not like nine 14 years olds. That's not age diversity and that will skew the results. I need definate RSVP's. The group leaders so far will be Saheer, Muhammad, Labinsky, Saba. I don't think you all know Saba but she's working on this project with me. She lives in NY. OK so if you guys could get on this right away. Ask people. Tell them that dinner and snacks will be provided and that it's from 5:00 - 7:30 pm Saturday, Aug. 10th at Russell Sage College in Troy NY in Sage Hall on Congress Street. All the info and contact info is on the letter. Please make sure that they understand that they must have the slip signed in order to participate, especially if they are under 18.
