Husband and Wife

Once a husband and a wife had a very big argument. it so happened that they were angry at each other and made a very grave mistake. The argument was a really big one that they got so annoyed with each other that the man without thinking said "I swear by Allah that i will never talk 2 u until u talk to me first." soon after the wife because of her anger said to her husband "I, too, swear by Allah that I will not talk to you unless u talk to me first" This was an oath they both made. At first they didn't realize the mistake they made but after a few days they became very lonely. However an oath is an oath and they cant do nothing about it (by the way we should no that three days should not pass with enmity) meanwhile they went to pious leaders to ask 4 a solution 2 their prob. but no matter how many people they asked no1 could solve it. this happened at the time of Imam Abu Hanifa (1 of the great scholars) sot they finally went 2 him. they thought it was useless as no1 could solve the prob. but surprisingly he didn't find it difficult in fact he solved it in a few seconds.

Can you figure out the solution?

It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbaas (may Allaah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Vows are of two kinds: a vow that was for the sake of Allaah is expiated by being fulfilled, and that which was for the Shaytaan should not be fulfilled, and he has to offer expiation as in the case of kafaarat yameen (expiation for breaking a oath).”

Narrated by Ibn al-Jaarood in al-Muntaqaa, 935; al-Bayhaqi, 10/72.

So perhaps one of them broke their oath and did the expiation for breaking an oath? ???

When you post the answer, let me know the source from wher eyou got this from, jazak Allah khairen.

well when the wife made her oath she directed it at her husband, so in a sense she was talking to him first. then all it takes is for the husband to say something to the wife and the issue is resolved

Eleanor seems to have the right answer. Then why did the people need Imam Abu Hanifa to solve it?

Yeah, I thought it was really easy too. But I guess they couldn’t figure it out so they went to the imam..

I got it from here:

I thought this one was funny:

Dubai, We Have A Problem!

KLM is a European airline the flies regularly to the Middle East. On one recent flight into Dubai airport, there was a slight malfunction. I happen to have a transcript of the conversation from the final fateful moments before the plane went for her final sajood:

"KLM to Tower, KLM to Tower, we have a problem, we've lost one of our engines."

"Tower to KLM, Tower to KLM, don't worry, keep coming, your gonna make it."

"KLM to Tower, KLM to Tower, we've lost another, two engines are out."

"Tower to KLM, Tower to KLM, its ok, keep coming, your gonna make it."

"KLM to Tower, KLM to Tower, we've lost THREE ENGINES, THREE ENGINES are out!"

"Tower to KLM, Tower to KLM, don't worry, keep coming, your gonna make it, you are going to make it."

"K-L-M TO TO-W-ER, K-L-M TO TO-W-ER, ALL FOUR ENGINES ARE OUT, ALL FOUR ENGINES ARE OUT!"

...(silence)...

..."Tower to KLM, Tower to KLM, repeat after me...
Ash-hadu-ana-la illaha...."
