| [slm] I came upon this funny and interesting IQ test....lemme know how you guys did aiite? But....you gotta do this in 1 min.....good luck inshaAllah!!!! 1. Some months are 30 days and some are 31. In how many months are there 28 days? 2. Your doctor gives you 3 pills and tells you to take them every half hour. After how much time have you taken all the pills? 3. You go to bed at 8 and set your alarm for 9, how many hours have you slept? 4. Divide thirty by half and add ten, what do you get? 5. A farmer had 17 sheep. The herd got sick and nine survived, while the others died. How many are left? 6. You have only one match and you enter a house with a gas lamp, gas stove, and a candle, and it's very cold and dark. Which do you light first? 7. There were 3 apples and got 2. How many apples do i have? 8. How many pairs of each animal did Musa take on the ark? 9. You're driving a bus with 43 passengers heading out from Chicago. At Pittsburgh, 7 get off and 5 get on. At Cleveland, 8 get off, 6 go to the restrooms and come back, and 4 new get on. 20 hours later, with how many passengers do you arrive at Philadelphia and who's the driver? Answers:: 1. All of the months, they all have 28 days. 2. One hour, at the beginning of the hour, after 30 min and after 60 min. 3. 1 hour sleep. 4. 70, dividing 30 by half is multiplying by 2 and add ten. 5. 9 live sheep. 6. First off, it was very funny indeed. :D I though I was good at these things. Anyways , I got three and half right. No. 5 7 8 and half of 9. So that makes me better than a highschool teacher and not quite as good as an elementary school teacher. 8) |

| [slm] okay, i got 7 right so i'm a college student. as a university grad that's reassuring. but i'd rather be a college prof, surely they are cleverer? and q.3 was deliberately ambiguous which was annoying. still think i'm fikk tho'! |

Oh, and that college professor doesnt look too intelligent. :-/ :D :-/ [slm] [/quote] One of the t.v. channels here hosted a sample iq test on tuesday night. 76 questions taken by people all over the country, granted, there were quite a few problems with it like they don't take into account your own individual personal qualities and it had some pretty wacky categories, but anyway: The studio participants were divided into 7 different groups, blondes (women), builders (men), teachers, students, kiwi's (New Zealanders), celebreties and identical twins. guess which group came out with the highest iq's? hah you got it, the TEACHERS!!! :-/ :-/ I thought it was pretty ::) that the next day, the local paper who're always having a go at the education system and the iq's of teachers, didn't mention a thing about it. we may not get much thanks for it, but at least we can sit a silly iq test effectively! Wassalaams i (sorry to say, the kiwi's came last :D ) |
