[slm] For those Madinians who will be in the Philadelphia area in the near future, or those not too far to come into town: [center]************************************** Annual Family Day at the Lakes Saturday, August 17, 2002 10:00am until 8:00pm at FDR Park at Broad and Patterson Sponsored by: The Family and Community Development and Youth Committees at UMM United Muslim Movement For more information, please call 215-546-6555[/center] UMM is also fundraising to build a large central masjid in Philadelphia on land already purchased on the Avenue of the Arts, alhamdullillah. They sponsor many worthwhile projects, including New Muslim Mentoring programs, marriage retreats and a large business center. The masjid, school and business center serve as the center of a large Muslim community that draws from all of Philadelphia and the surrounding area.
