| assalamu alaikum can someone give me the tafseer of these verses.Perahps it can have different valid meaning.please do not give your own opinions,but the opinions of scholars: the verses are Quran 25 :68-71 "And those who cry not unto any other god along with Allah, nor take the life which Allah hath forbidden save in (course of) justice, nor commit adultery - and whoso doeth this shall pay the penalty; The torment will be doubled to him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein in disgrace; Except those who repent and believe (in Islâmic Monotheism), and do righteous deeds, for those, Allâh will change their sins into good deeds, and Allâh is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. And whosoever repents and does righteous good deeds, then verily, he repents towards Allâh with true repentance. " My questions are: 1)do these verses apply ONLY to people who were non-Muslims,and then embraced Islam,so there bad deeds would be changed into good deeds?(because i was able to understand from some online reading that it apply at least to their case), Or do these verses also apply to Muslim,so that if Muslims sins and then repent and also do righteous deeds,their bad deeds would change into good deeds? 2)if those verses apply to Muslims,in terms of bad deeds changing into good deeds,does this apply to all sins,or just the sins mentioned in verse 25:69. a)Worshipping other than Allah(swt) b)taking a life unjustly c)adultery and fornication. | [slm] و الذين لا يدعون مع الله إلها آخر) أي لا يسألون غير ربهم قضاء حوائجهم كما لا يشركون بعبادة ربهم أحدا (و لا يقتلون النفس التي حرم الله) قتلها و هي كل نفس آدمية ما عدا نفس الكافر المحارب فإنها مباحة القتل غير محرمة. (إلا بالحق) و هو واحدة من ثلاث خصال بينها الرسول في حديث الصحيحين ((لا يحل دم امرىء مسلم إلا بإحدى ثلاث: الثيب الزاني و النفس بالنفس و التارك لدينه المفارق للجماعة)) (و لا يزنون) أي لا يرتكبون فاحشة الزنا و الزنا نكاح على غير شرط النكاح المباح و قوله تعالى (و من يفعل ذلك) هذا كلام معترض بين صفات عباد الرحمن. أي و من يفعل ذلك المذكور من الشرك بدعاء غير الرب أو قتل النفس بغير حق, أو زنا (يلق اثاما) أي عقابا (يضاعف له العذاب يوم القيامة و يخلد فيه) أي في العذاب (مهانا) مخزيا ذليلا, و قوله تعالى (إلا من تاب) من الشرك و آمن بالله و بلقائه و برسوله و ما جاء به من الدين الحق (و عمل صالحا) من إقامة الصلاة و إيتاء الزكاة و صيام رمضان و حج بيت الله الحرام (فأولئك) المذكورون أي التائبون (يبدل الله سيئاتهم حسنات) أي يمحو سيآتهم بتوبتهم و يكتب لهم مكانها صالحات أعمالهم و طاعاتهم بعد توبتهم (و كان الله غفورا رحيما) ذا مغفرة للتائبين من عباده ذا رحمة بهم فلا يعذبهم بعد توبته عليهم, و قوله (و من تاب) من غير هؤلاء المذكورين أي رجع إلى الله تعالى بعد غشيانه الذنوب (و عمل صالحا) بعد توبته (فإنه يتوب الى الله متابا) أي يرجع إليه تعالى مرجعا مرضيا حسنا فيكرمه و ينعمه في دار كرامته Here’s the tafsir of these ayahs. I typed this from Abu Bakr Al-Jazawari’s tafsir. I’m not sure what its says exactly because I don’t know Arabic very well :) But I hope it can help you find your answers. If you can’t read Arabic, perhaps someone here can translate it.? |

| assalamu alaikum for some reason the arabic letters are not showing.i am seeing characters,but not arabic characters.perhaps my computer is not working properly. but inshallah,when i get the tafseer i will come back. i have asked the question,i am waiting for the answer.Inshallah within a week or 2.
