| Assalamu alaikum, To me having fun means either having a nice time with friends or with my husband, or with friends' kids :) either way it's always related to being with people I like. Al hamdu lillah my parents have built a pool that they use for irrigation on this tiny piece of property out in the countryside, and swimming there is one of the most fun things I can think of. Also goign on picnics with friends is also something I really enjoy. I'm not a party person at all so that's not on my list... Going on walks with hubby is something I really enjoy but we now live in a city where that's pretty much impossible. And, I really enjoy reading good fiction :) A good laugh? hmmm, that doesn't happen all that much, there's laughs every day but a GOOD laugh... I guess that happens with my mom or sister mostly :) :D that's as good as it gets ;) |

| My idea of having fun pretty much revolves around a good John Grisham, Jeffrey Archer, Sidney Sheldon or Arthur Hailey. And when I don't have as much time to spare, there's always Reader's Digest. They give u the best laughs :D, though the articles do tend to be a tad anti-Islamic these days. >:( |

| I lift weights, hit the heavy bag, martial arts, train my dog, walk my dog, jog, go out to eat, relax with friends. listen to music, talk long distance with my sister, watch sports with my Dad, talk with my Mom or cook a nice meal. Occasionally I get in the hot tub and I enjoy my job most days because noone I work with speaks English (and I know very little Espanol) so it's always alot of fun trying to communicate and learning about different cultures. |

| boy, it sure changes when you have kids. before kids: guiding rafting trips on the kern river in calif, also did some rafting in costa rica and a few other great places, camping in tuolumne meadows in yosemite (one of the most beautiful places on earth) playing beach volleyball (i used to go down to the beach every weekend, have not been at all thiis summer), surfing, playing with other peoples kids, mtn. biking and golfing. after kids: going to the park listening to the things your kids say (1st kid just turned 3 and they say amazing things) still enjoy all those other things listed above but doing it through memories for now. |

| [wlm] Going for long rides in the country, talking to my girlfriends, going on picnics with my sister friend Zarifa, our husbands and children (the best fun of all! ;D ) Reading something wonderful that I learn something profound from. A smile from a fellow Muslim, always makes me feel good. My daughter who is a real hoot often says things that are so funny we both laugh until we cry. :-* My husband, who even when we aren't happy with each other, can say something so funny (that's where our daughter gets it from) that we both break up. :-* Going to places like 6 Flags/Great Adventure or any amusement park with the children. It is like seeing the world in a new way. :) Last but not least, going to my father's house in NJ. He has private land with a pool and swimming there or just being outdoors there is the best! :-) Muneerah [] |

| assalaamu alaikum - I play football - I watch old episodes of Spiderman. - Go to the park - I read my old Star Wars books: anything by Timothy Zahn is good, and the Han Solo trilogy is great too. Alas, we have the naff New Jedi Order saga which is so terrible that its put me off buying SW books. Can you believe that i haven't bought the last three Star Wars books? The Force is weakening in me. Some of the Jedi are acting a bit 'gay', some of the authors are so bad that they can't even write C-3PO properly; one of them actually had 3PO calling Han Solo "Han" !!! What the??? Didn't they ever watch the movies?? 3PO never calls people like that... its always "Captain Solo" or "Master Luke" or "Mistress Leia" or something like that. And that really makes me annoyed: that these people are adding rubbish stories to the Star Wars universe just so that their names can be associated with such. Why, these guys ought to be thrown out a cargo hatch while cruising through hyperspace. grrrrrrr. Kashif Wa Salaam |

| [slm] My idea of fun......ahh yes it makes me smile just to think about it.......tucking my kid into bed! :D Then afterwards falling on the couch to fall asleep to some t.v. movie! Actually I like to runaway sometimes. Take the car out and drive to nowhere in particular and listen to Andrea Bocelli. And if I'm still bored, I invite myself to a nice ice cream sundea! ;) |
