| alsalamu alaykum wa rhmat Allah ta'ala wa barakatuhu the MSA frosh committee at my Uni is trying to put together some naseeha for the MSA frosh ...and they're hoping u experienced MSAer's could help out all u have to do (please)is answer the following two q's asap so that the answers can be passed on to the committee..and if there's any ideas for frosh that come to mind, pls feel free to let me know :-[ *Give reasons why people should join the MSA *What are some things you wish you knew before entering university that would have made things easier for u. There are many cultural organizations, but the MSA puts all that aside, and joins everyone together under one religion: Islam. The MSA should also try to be influential and should play an active rold on campus, as far as helping out new students, organizing and hosting activities, like lectures, social events, gatherings, halaqaat, etc. [quote] *What are some things you wish you knew before entering university that would have made things easier for u. [/quote] Alhamdulillah the unv i attend is five min away from my house and i've grown up around it, so i was familiar with the campus and people before actually starting. But, there were some difficulties at first. I wish I had known more Muslims on campus. The MSA did an awesome job at introducing the members, but it wasn't as active. InshaAllah this semester things are going to be different and we're trying to play a more active role on campus. It helps to know people before you actually start school b/c they can help you with finding your classes, if you have trouble they can assist you, and with their connections, you can meet other Muslims as well. I think that's a key point when a student is starting out his/her first year of college. I guess that's about it...jazaki Allahu khair for the post... [wlm] Betul |

| [slm] the best person to ask would be sr jannah she gave us pretty good naseeah in our introdcutory MSA session the problem is cant remeber the excat words now guess senility sets in with greying ;) [wlm] |
