| Wa'alaikumussalam warahmatullah :) Alhamdulillah :) Mine was good... no withdrawal symptoms.. unlike some people :P ;) I went on a weekend retreat and had a tan and became food to some Malaysian mosquitoes... and experience one of Allah's beautiful creations in the jungle. These past few weeks have been weeks of muhasabah... mashaAllah. Well, apart from being more productive at work! [sub](I wonder why.... ???)[/sub] Many other things happened... but I shan't bore you with my sad story of my broken shoe... I'm back to my slipperhood days again :( .. Like u Sis Eleanor..i've been checking the boards as well in the last few days :D Its definitly good to be back :-X As usual with all my holidays, I didn't do what I planned and instead spent most of my time at home..I did get away for a weekend to a Sisters camp which was excellent, mashaAllah. ;D Anyway hope to hear from u all soon!! :) I'm sure u ppl have much more interesting stories to tell than me..hehe |

I have been checking every day and had begun to think that sister Jannah had given up on us! :-* Just as every one went on vacation I started working! :P Al hamdu lillah I am teaching first grade in an Islamic school. Masha'Allah the kids have a lot of energy and seem to be going in different directions, which keeps me on my toes. Al hamdu lillah it is nice to be working with other sisters in an Islamic environment! :-/ :-/ Boy, did I miss you guys, although you are only my cyber friends!!! ;D [wlm] Marcie :-) [/color] |

| [slm], I missed all you folks! I also frequently checked the board :D :D. I had a wonderful vacation, spent it getting ready for my freshman year of college. I pray everyone is doing great, inshallah! Its good to see everyone back, allhumdiallah and inshallah were going to have a great year! wasalam, red ;) |

| [wlm] Glad to see everyone is back. It was life as usual without the madina board, nothing new except being miserable due to ragweed allergy :atchoo:. [alhamdolellah] I did check the website many times to look for any updates. That was a very cute update that was posted on the 8th. I can only guess who autored it. I was afraid that our madina was going to get axed, but alhamdolellah, we get to come back and start fresh. So it is a new school year for many of us, a new leaf to turn, insha'Allah. [slm] inshallah all of you are in the best of health. yep yep yep vacation, or holiday was good, even though i dindn't go anywhere, apart from the jimaas conference in leicester which went really good alhamdullilah. we got a big huge pile of new books, and its gonna take some time to get through them all, so far i'm reading 'Great women of Islaam which were given the good new of paradise.' which is a good read alhamdullilah. and i got my gcse's comming up and i'm scared!!!! :( well i guess everyone goes through that when it comes to exams ;) [wlm] p.s jazakallah khair to all the mods for your time and effort put in for making madina board so wow! :) |

| [slm] I hope this finds everyone in the best of health and Eman. Summer vacation, well it was long. I missed this place very much...to much....so it was probably good that I had a break from it. My life has changed so much in the short time that Madina was on vacation....so so much. In the time that madina was on vacation, lets see, my husband divorced me, I had to move to a new apartment just so many things. It has been a very rough time for me to say the least. It is just amazing how you find yourself relying on the kindness of people that you meet on the net to help you overcome the troubles in your life. So I believe that Allah ta'ala closes one door, only to open many more, and I am just waiting for them to open......... I am very glad to be back, thanks for having me [wlm] :-) Ayla_A :-) |

| [slm] Thanks for your kind words....I really appreciate it. My divorce came as a shock for me, it was unexpected, and expected I am still not positive of the reasons for it, but insha'allah one day I will know. He has refused all mediation in the matter, so it is definitely over. I really don't know what to say about it, I am heartbroken, but insha'allah I will heal. My advice to anyone thinking of marriage - cross culturally - or cross religion (at the start) to think very careful of all the things that may come into play. I don't have many words of wisdom yet, insha'allah time will give me that. [wlm] Ayla_A |
