as salaamu alaykum, Is there anyway for someone to leave you a voicemail message *without* your phone ringing.. even when your phone is on, and you're willing to pick up? Or am I just dumb? ??? this seems to happen to me all the time, and I don't understand why my phone doesn't ring?! and it would be useful info for when I want to avoid talking to some ppl :P wasalaam :) |

[slm] Sometimes when the signals/reception is low....then it happens. When someone calls it goes straight to voicemail. I know this tends to happen with sprint even when you are in the "calling" area ::) Maliha :-) [wlm] |

assalaamu alaikum Is it happening with all your calls? In that case, perhaps your phone is set to "divert all calls to voicemail." All you need to do is to cancel the divert, and re-arrange it the way you want to, e.g. "divert to voicemail if call isn't answered in 30 secs." Kashif Wa Salaam |

[slm], I agree with kashif, however, on my phone(Nokia, 63x) I can set a profile where if I know your calling me or someone else i can divert it to the voice mailbox. Depends what kind of phone you have as well... hope it helps salaams Hanif. p.s.
and I don't understand why my phone doesn't ring?!
You sure its not the same one as Fatimah's, you know the Fisher Price one with meldoy tunes her phone dosent ring as well!. |

[slm] *sigh* problems like this are bound to happen when high tech, hits cow town Albany. ;) There are phones you can even surf the web with, take pictures and send them to friends all on the phone, play video games in color. Prices have become pretty competitive which is good news for us, the consumers, better service, at cheaper prices. If its been a while since you've updated your service plan, you may want to look into new promotions and deals. I know I'm going to switch my plan in the next 2 months when my current contract expires. I'm on an AT&T plan. |

as salaamu alaykum, thanks guys.. it only happens sometimes, but inshaAllah I'll play with it a little and figure it out. you can check out the phone I have here.. nothing special.. it's pretty bulky, but the battery life is really good. also, it came free with the plan so I'm happy ;D btw - I think cel phones make you *really* neurotic. (that explains a lot about you bhaloo :P) take care wasalaamu alaykum, [] |
