| Salaam everyone, I'm looking for some really yummy desserts [img] http://www.gupistan.com/forums/images/smilies/yummy.gif[/img] to take to a fall bbq/pot luck on a farm. I was thinking of cookies and brownies...but I wanted to try something different...got any yumm ideas?! :-* |

| [slm] [i]:D For us NY'ers asking for this recipi is like asking for a recipi to make ice! [/i] Take about 6 apples- I like Mac Intosh. Wash and dry them completely. Dry is very important step! Make sure you wash them very well- to get the store wax off! In the stem end, insert a stick, dowel or specially made skewers for this. Take a bag of plain carmals... the sqqare ones for cooking, baking- not the ones with white centers..... Melt them in a double boiler. Take a bunch of lightly salted peanuts and crush them coursely. Line a cookie sheet with wax paper. Dip the apple in the melted carmal and then roll it in the nuts. Place on the paper and set until firm. |

| This is probably too late ... but.... here it goes anyways... its so easy!! Fruit Pizza 1 roll sugar cookie dough 2 of the small square packages of cream cheese 1 cup of powdered sugar milk and assorted sliced fruits--strawberries, mandarin oranges, kiwi, blueberries... etc.. 1. cut the cookie dough to cookie slices and arrange on a shallow pizza pan and mold the slices all together so that its a "pizza" dough. Bake as directed. cool 1hr in fridge 2. combine powdered sugar and cheese plus 1 tbs of milk and start mixing with an electric mixer. Keep adding a tsp of milk at a time until it is very creamy and smooth. 3. spread cream cheese mixture on the "pizza" dough and arrange the slices of fruit all over. Talk about yummy in da tummy!! |

[i]*stomache growling*[/i] That apples 'n caramel sounds just delicious...but since we're gonna be going apple picking after horseback riding...I don't think ppl are gonna wanna have apples... ;D hmmm that fruit pizza sounds interesting...I think I might try that one for eid!
