working with hijab..how is Amerika now?

Salam alaikum,
Well, it looks as though I may be going back home soon. I have about half of my things packed up already and should be off in about 3 or 4 weeks. I don't know what will happen until then, but I am just preparing myself for anything. I was thinking to go stay with my mom and little sister. I have never lived with them before and they seem to respect that I am a Muslim. I hope things will turn out well. Does anyone here live with non-Muslims and how do you handle it?
One of the biggest worries I have now on my mind is.. will I be able to work with hijab? Will anyone hire me? Are things in America really as bad as I hear?
I'm torn to peices, but still hanging on.. Will my heart ever heal? Sure does hurt.
Please make dua for me.. I really need it. I hope you are all well and in the best on Iman.  :-*

Your sister,

Sister, I will make dua for you... I hope things go well for you.  I have a friend who wears hijab at her workplace and her co-workers are supporting her and she has had no problems with it.  I work for an airline and just recently expressed my wish to start wearing hijab.  I first had to show it to my manager who is now speaking about it with the other managers and it is "pending approval".  I am hoping that they will accept it but if not I am ready to fight for my right to wear it!  There are plenty of sisters in the US that work with hijab on.  I wish you luck and happiness over here in the USA  :)
