Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan (JUP) head Shah Ahmed Noorani was accused of violating election rules by delivering a provocative speech on Saturday at a rally in Jhang district, a remote area of Punjab province. "America will attack Iran and Pakistan after the destruction of Iraq as it is part of the new world order," Mr Noorani told the gathering. He warned that people would "take revenge for the massacre of Muslims in Afghanistan once we take power." Mr Noorani and five other JUP politicians could be charged under two sections of Pakistan's anti-terrorism act, district police officer Tariq Masud Yasin said. None of the politicians has been arrested.
