| [slm] :o This test really is weird! :o :D :o :D Test to Freak You Out This is weird. Follow the instructions! This is weird. Follow the instructions! NO PEEKING AHEAD! Free will or synaptic wiring? You be the judge. Do the following exercise and prepare yourself to freak out. Just follow these instructions, and answer the questions one at a time and as quickly as you can! Again, as quickly as you can but don't advance until you've done each of them ... really. Now, arrow down (but not too fast, you might miss something). Think of a number from 1 to 10. Multiply that number by 9. If the number is a 2-digit number, add the digits together. Now subtract 5. Determine which letter in the alphabet corresponds to the number you ended up with (example: 1=a, 2=b, 3=c, etc.) Think of a country that starts with that letter. Remember the last letter in the name of that country. Think of the name of an animal that starts with that letter. Remember the last letter in the name of that animal. Think of the name of a fruit that starts with that letter. Are you thinking of a Kangaroo in Denmark eating an Orange? If not, you're among the 2% of the population whose minds are different enough to think of something else. 98% of people will answer with kangaroos in Denmark when given this exercise. Freaky, huh? |

No matter what number you choose, the end result should always be 4 - which gives you a "D" Or am I missing something here? |

| Assalamu alaikum, Ok, I figured it out. The number 9 is the key. Any number you choose between 1 and 10 and then multiply by 9 will either give you 9(if you picked 1) or will add up to nine when you add the two digits together. e.g. 2x9=18, 1+8=9, 5x9=45, 4+5=9. So, when you go through all the other stuff, you end up with 4. D is the fourth letter. Now, how many countries can you think of that start with that letter? Yes, Deutchland is tempting..but I guess they intend the English spelling of the word. Denmark is the most common country people will think of. Then, you have K..kangaroo is the most common answer, then an orange is about the only fruit one can think of at that point. So, it's all based on numbers and limited choices. I couldn't have made it up, though...it's pretty smart. Assalamu alaikum, Amber Branch |

They are a schrub/small tree native to North America, I think, but there might be a European variant as well. To my knowledge, you can't eat them raw like blueberries or raspberries, but they do make good jam! |
