| Asalamalaikum I am considering marrying a Muslim man who has a young Muslim child living with his mother. My problem is that the mother is a Kefera (neither Christian nor Jew) and I don't agree with the child being at such an influential age living with his Kefera Mom as he is to grow up as a Muslim, Insha'Allah. Does a Kafer have the same rights as a Muslim mother?? My potential says that she does. I always thought that the child should be kind and respectful to his mother, but if she says and does things of Kufr, he is not to obey her, and at such a young age, he would not know better living with a Kafera. Therefore, I do not agree with the child living with the Kefera eventhough she is the Mother. Am I wrong to feel this way? JazakhAllah Khairum for your responses.... |
