| Bismillah Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa baraktuh Al hamdu lillah I'm at the end of my first trimester. I found out that I was pregnant while in Madina after the Umra. It's been quite an experience... :) It took us a while to get used to the idea that we were going to have children, but now al hamdu lillah hubby and I are both excited about it. I'm totally in pregnancy/baby mode. I can't really concentrate on anything and I'm exhausted but al hamdu lillah it's been easy so far, I only had morning sickness for 6 weeks which I think is a LOT to be greatful for al hamdu lillah! The Umra was wonderful. It wasn't nearly as hot as everyone was telling us it would be, and we were able to get a lot out of two weeks. I was even able to touch the Black Stone although I was afraid of going any closer because I was afraid my hijab would get pulled off cause it was so crowded. My husband got to kiss it. Though I can't say we got our fill of the Kaaba (who ever has?) we got a lot from it al hamdu lillah :) I've missed this community, though I have to admit I've been checking the board a lot without logging in. It's very different being "on the outside" :) salaam Mariam |

| [slm] Subhana Allah! I was just thinking about you! We are getting ready to set up the Ramadan display in the museum- and i was looking at the scarf you sent over for it... Pregnant! AlHumdullillah! Jenna is to! I expect alot of postings as you go through your hormonal phases.... Musings...Umm Wafi calls it! If I recall there was a heated topic on this site awhile back on pregnancies... wonder if that is what got you think'in...... I am glad you are back...been missing you! |

| Wa'alaikum Assalaam! [font=Verdana] :-/ Mabrook!!!! Sis!!! MashaAllah!! :-/[/font] May your pgcy be a happy and healthy one InshaAllah!!! I am in my 9th week almost 10 InshaAllah.... This will be my second one and I feel just as excited as if it was my first!!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Exhaustion is soo not the word I think its better described as "My body feels like I haven't slept in daaaaays! My brain is awake(Half of it ;D) but my body is not! :( ;D Boy you are blessed! I wonder who came up with the term "morning" sickness! My last pgcy I did have morning sickness just in the morning, but with this one its all day sickness :P!! Be grateful Sis LOOL :-/ :-/ :-/ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ But even with all this stress its soooo worth it!!! Your Sis'n Islaam Jenna Umm Muffins :-) |

Jenna, when I first read that you were pregnant my first reaction was: wanna commiserate? :D but al hamdu lillah you actually do get over morning sickness, it's amazing, I thought I'd be that way forever :) The exhaustion is still there though. Kathy, I don't know about musings.... these days I'm just sort of rambling. As everyone who's been pregnant apparently already knows (how come I never knew this) your brain is in a dense fog for most of the time, struggling to get out. All I'm thinking about these days is: what can I make for dinner, when do I get home so I can eat? Is my prayer rug in my office comfortable enough to sleep on? What should I ask my doctor about (of course I forget as soon as I'm in her office), and most of all: SHOULD i FIND OUT IF IT'S A BOY OR GIRL????? :) more dilemmas to come soon insha Allah :) |

I am not pregnant yet these are my thoughts too .. I'm just a confused kind of person I suppose.. I would find out if it is a girl or a boy. As someone once said, "it doesn't ruin the surprise - you just get surprised 10 weeks earlier". I would like to have a shortlist of names and be focused on my child as a boy or a girl before they are born. And hey - sometimes they get it wrong ;D Hang in there Mariam - you are in for the most wonderful roller coaster ride ever!! :) |

[/quote] Hate to be the bearer of bad news ;) but in my experience, that dense fog doesn't clear up until your baby starts sleeping through the night, letting you do the same.
