| Salaams, How muchh do people pay for their site to be online ??? In particular if its a hard hitting site like Jannah's how much does it cost to host. I'm looking to host a site and trying to find the best cost effective site coupled with good amounts of bandwith usage. If you know of any good hostings options please let me know. Jajakallah. | [slm] There's a lot of hosting providers around these days. Back in the day the big players in the hosting industry used to be companies like Netcom, Digex and the such. Ever since the proliferation of broadband people have setup their own boxes on their networks and have offered services to people. I don't suggest going for those types of accounts. It depends on what you're looking for, good amounts of bandwidth usage probably means you want a hosting provider with a few T1's coming in and out. Also make sure you ask questions like who their backbone is? Stuff like what OSes they are running their network on is critical as well. The really good providers will allow you to look at their system load so you can judge for yourself if they're managing the system well. |
