In the name of Allah The Merciful the Compassionate Alsalam Alaikum Wa RahmatuAllahi Wa BarakatuHu May Allah accept and increase us much in knowlege and wisdom. --------------------- The Mooing Cow, After Allah saved the children of Israel from their enemy (Pharoah and his forces), Moses (May Allah's peace be upon him) went ahead of his people, who were behind him, to receive the tablets from Allah at the Mountain, in order to please Allah. Moses left his brother Aaron (May Allah's peace be upon him) behind to look after the children of Israel. While Moses was there for forty days, Allah told him that He tested his people in his absence, and that the Samiri led them astray. Moses returned to his people, angry like a fierce storm. Moses threw down the tablets, and grabbed Aaron by his beard. Moses said to his people, "Oh my people! Didn't Allah give you a good promise, by saving you in parting the sea? Did a long time pass by, or did you wish to incur the wrath of your Lord by betraying me?" They said, "We didn't betray you as much as we could. We were carrying the jewelry that we borrowed from the people of Egypt. We took this jewelry and threw it into a pit. The Samiri then brought it out, shaped like a cow, and it was mooing." The people became fond of it, and started saying, "This is your god and the god of Moses, but Moses has forgotten." Couldn't they see that it could not return their words, and did not have any power of harm or benefit for them? Moses took the cow, melted it, and scattered it through the sea. The punishment of the Samiri was that he had a disease where he continuously said, "Don't touch me." He did not touch the people and the people did not touch him. The punishment for the children of Israel that took the calf for worship was that they were to be executed by the people that didn't take the calf for worship. They were executed, but Allah brought them back to life afterwards. The cow was making noises because of the wind that was blowing through it. The God of us all is Allah, there is no god but He. His knowlege is vast and covers everything. Allah, The Lord of all Exaltations, is far above the things that people ascribe to Him. He is the Lord of the heavens and the earth. Allah does not forget nor errs. Allah is the Greatest the Highest, Allah is The Powerful, The Reality. All the people will be brought in front of Him on the day of judgement, and He will give everyone their due. Let us not make the same mistake and take wordly things to worship besides Allah. Allah is their creator and controller. Everything that happens in this world's life is a test for us. Let us listen to Allah and follow His commands to the best of our ability. Let us try and refrain from the things that Allah has made forbidden for us. Let us try and do more good deeds for His sake.Allah will accept the best of our actions, and forgive us our faults, and give us much goodness and happiness. May peace be upon Allah's final prophet Muhammed (SalaAllahu Alaihi Wa Salam). May Allah be please with his companions, and have mercy on their followers. May Allah forgive me and all the believers. Alsalam Alaikum Wa RahmatuAllahi Wa BarakatuHu Ahmed |
