| [slm] A woman we ( the dawah center) have been "working" with has decided to take her shahadah on Tuesday, Al-Humdullillah! We are in discussion about where it should take place, as the woman does not care. Now of course, it does not matter where or when, just to do it! (By the way...I came across a fatwa saying that there doesn't have to be 2 witnesses, in Islam Q&A) Before I write the rest....remember I am saying it is not an important issue, i have just been musing over it and wonder if it is a debate to have.... I have no intention of using her as political bait. Personally I took mine in the masjid and am glad I did. Just the spiritual aspect of it and the awe i remember having of so many, whom I did not know, come to witness it. The owners are persuading her to take it at the dawah center...since we were so involved. On the "political view", since we have not had any support and hardly no recognition from the masjid, who thinks we are trying to set up another masjid (not true) , I would think it would be in good faith to bring her there to make her shahadah. We have a wonderful Imam and i think it is a good way to mend a fence or two. What are your opinions? |

| Asalaamu Alaikum ;-) Yep I'd say take her to the Masjid and inshaAllah the rifts between the Masjid and the Dawah centre can be reduced. ;-) |

| [wlm] I think if I were becoming new Muslim i wouldn't care i would just want to do it asap. But later you would reflect back and I think the best place to make that change is in the house of Allah with as many people making dua for tathbeet in their prayer for you after. Like Friday. |
