| [slm] I received the following questions from someone who *seems* to be non-familiar (and misunderstood) with the Islamic concept of marriage. *can a marriage take place if the groom is not present within the muslim religion? *what happens if a muslim marries a woman of another race? *how does one come to find out if your arabic husband is not still married in his country? Can anyone pls answer them (with authencity) so that I can reply the questioner positively jazak Allah khair |

Muslims can marry into whatever race they like provided the groom is Muslim and the bride is either Muslim, christian, or jewish. [wlm] |

[/quote] do your research!!! don't be one of those unfortunate women who finds out *after* marriage that their husband has another wife (and family!) 'back home'. If anything visit 'back home' with your prospective husband (and respective mahram) and make sure nothing is shady. |
