| [slm] My son has been diagnosed as having eye refraction problems and is advised to make glasses else it would worsen his problem. He is 6 years old. Anyone had that problem before or have children with that problem ? Is there an alternative solution ? My son always wanted to fly a plane or a space shuttle..guess now that's not possible huh ? Allah knows best, Insya'Allah. Appreciate all help. Wassalam. |

| [slm] What kind of refraction problems...I believe there's more than one kind. The best thing to do would be to wear the glasses, if that is what has been recommended. He's 6 mashaAllah...and technology has shown us some jaw-dropping innovations in our lifetimes. So maybe, he'll be able to become an astronaut after all :) (InshaAllah) I used to wear fake glasses until I was diagnosed with less than perfect vision. After which, I stayed away from my frames whenever I could (when Mommy wasn't looking)....Just made the myopia worse. (I find I'm really full of myself...perhaps I should stay away from soliloquys in the future..) 8) (I make the shades...) SF. |

| [slm] Isn't their laser eye surgery? I know a brother that had poor vision had laser surgery and doesn't need to wear glasses again. Maybe when your son is older he can try that. Maybe in the future we won't be flying planes, but controlling them from the ground using simulators. |

| [slm] He has the Lazy Eye Syndrome (seems like cleaning up his mess aint the only thing he is lazy about hrumph). That means his astigmatism problem is bad. Sis SF I dodge them glasses too AND I read in the dark WHILE lying down. Beat that lol Bro Bhaloo Ehem...no mention of flight simulators please. His Playstation games are full of them thingies. Wassalam. |
